Roshan Bailey
As Director of Project Action Ltd, Roshan Bailey makes things happen for non-profit organisations through project management, business planning and operational support. This work includes spearheading new projects, and facilitating change and development in small and medium sized charities.
Particular strengths:
- working with partnerships, especially those which bring together different organisational cultures
- turning visions into practical business plans, and putting the funding, structures and people in place to implement them
- delivering workable plans: whether clients want Roshan to lead new projects, or to take them forward themselves, Roshan approaches the development and planning phase as if she will be at the sharp end of implementation, giving all clients plans and proposals which are realistic and practical
- transferring skills, knowledge and mechanisms to her clients, enabling them to own their projects and run them successfully after the consultancy phase.
Other appointments:
- Non-Executive Director of Surrey & Borders Partnership Trust (an NHS Trust specialising in mental health and learning disability services)
- Employment Tribunal Member
- Director of Surrey Supported Employment
- Trustee of the Mary Frances Trust

A vigorous networker, Roshan is involved in a range of bodies and activities relevant to social inclusion, learning and employment and has written for various publications on disability, youth enterprise and business/voluntary sector issues.

Prior to that she was a senior manager in British Telecom, including serving as a Board Member of Visual Communication (a business unit of some 500 people), Chairman and Director of Broadband Ventures Ltd (a BT subsidiary), and Chairman and Trustee of the Cable Companies Pension Fund.
